Vintage English Bread Board with Scalloped Lazy Susan
Rooted in centuries of culinary tradition, our English Bread Boards are inspired by serving pieces that originated in the late 1800s to early 1900s in the cottages and farmhouses of the English countryside. Historically, these sturdy boards were used not only for slicing bread but also as a centerpiece for gathering around the table, a symbol of daily life where bread was the heart of every meal.
Our modern interpretation preserves this heritage while elevating it with refined craftsmanship. This special design reimagines our beloved Scalloped Bread Board as a rotating lazy susan, blending timeless beauty with effortless functionality. Designed to spin gracefully at the center of the table, it invites easy serving and shared moments alike. Each board is carved from responsibly sourced wood, carefully finished by hand, and designed with a rounded silhouette that honors the charm of the originals. No two boards are exactly alike, the natural variations in grain and surface ensure that every piece is one-of-a-kind.

Care Instructions:
etúHOME bread boards are crafted from Acacia wood, which is prized for their durability and natural beauty, but proper care is essential to maintain its integrity and prevent splitting, cracking, or warping. Follow these simple steps to keep your board in excellent condition for years to come.
1. Hand Wash After Each Use
- Hand wash only with warm water and mild dish soap immediately after use.
- Avoid soaking and never place in the dishwasher - excess moisture can cause warping.
- Dry with a clean towel and stand upright to ensure complete drying.
2. Condition Regularly and Nourish Often
- Apply etúHOME’s Board Wax or a food-grade mineral oil to keep the wood hydrated.
- Use a soft cloth to coat the entire surface, including the edges.
- Let it absorb for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess.
- Reapply in between uses or whenever the board looks dry.
3. Avoid Abrasive Cleaners
- Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, or spray cleaners as they can dry out and damage the wood.
- With regular care, your wood board will develop a rich patina and remain a timeless staple in your kitchen.
- Each board showcases unique wood knots, tonal variations, and subtle markings from the crafting process—a testament to the sustainable wood and artisanal techniques that make every piece one-of-a-kind.
